Can the French language be used for anything else except talking shit and telling lies? Not if you judge by the yardstick of the French press. According to Europe1 radio this weekend: Paul Wolfowitz, the Deputy Secretary of Defense, admitted in an interview that the question of weapons of mass destruction was a 'pretext' for invading Iraq. This was followed by the editorial of Serge July, editor in chief of Libération, during which he called into question America's 'diplomacy of lies'. In today's Le Monde the word 'pretext' is used yet again. Of course, this has been posted across France's tiny blogosphere (I insist on the word 'tiny'). The only problem with all of this is that Wolfowitz never said any such thing. The transcript of the interview is available here. Perhaps the most important advance thanks to the Internet will be keeping the French press honest.

Est-ce que la langue française peut servir à autre chose à part raconter des conneries et des mensonges? La réponse est non, à juger par l'aune de la presse française. Selon Europe1 radio ce weekend: Paul Wolfowitz, le vice-secrétaire d'Etat à la Défense, a admis dans une interview que l'argument des armes de destruction massive n'était qu'un 'prétexte' pour envahir l'Irak. Ensuite il y avait la chronique de Serge July, le rédacteur en chef de 'Libé', où il s'inquiète de la 'diplomatie américaine du mensonge'. Dans Le Monde d'aujourd'hui le mot 'prétexte' est encore employé. Bien entendu, ceci a également fait le tour de la petite blogosphère française (et j'insiste sur le mot 'petite'). Le seul problème c'est que Wolfowitz n'a jamais dit une telle chose. La transcription de toute l'interview est disponible ici. Il se peut que l'avance la plus importante réalisée par l'Internet sera d'obliger la presse française à raconter la vérité.

UPDATE: As not seen on French TV. Wolfowitz get multiple standing ovations at a New York City convention of Shia Muslims. DERNIERES INFOS: Non vu à la télé française. Wolfowitz ovationné plusieurs fois par les spectateurs debouts à une convention de musulmans shiites à New York.

Sophie Favier, who had lots of French guys spanking their monkeys in the 80s, was welcomed as a guest to the European Big Brother show this week. As so often happens in this country, the goods are not as advertised. This cunt, who became rich by being a cockteaser, sits there like a shitsack making a sulky face and carrying on like a hypochondriac. Just seeing her without makeup is enough to make you want to cancel the cable TV service. This country is going to hell in a handcar. Bad choice.
Let us not forget the contributions made by the Cocogirls to France's cultural heritage. 		Sophie Favier, pour qui de nombreux mecs français se paluchaient dans les années 80, a été introduite dans le Loft européen cette semaine en tant qu'invitée vedette. Comme c'est si souvent le cas dans ce pays, il y a tromperie sur la marchandise. Cette conne, qui a fait fortune en allumant les mecs, reste là comme un sac à merde à tirer une tronche pas possible et à faire l'hypocondriaque. Rien qu'à voir sa gueule sans maquillage et ça donne envie de faire résilier l'abonnement à la télé câble. Tout fout le camp dans ce pays. Mauvais choix.
Il ne faut pas oublier les contributions faites par les Cocogirls au patrimoine culturel français.
