Moral Superiority Dept.: Culturally enlightened French citizens look down their noses at simplistic and barbaric Americans because the United States uses the death penalty. Take a look at the statistics and you can see that so many French convicts find life unbearable behind bars that they are killing themselves. A stealth death penalty in action. Note that the French authorities recognize that their own prison suicide statistics are underestimated. Rubrique Supériorité Morale: Les citoyens français culturellement avantagés regardent avec dédain vers les américains simplistes et barbares car les Etats-unis continuent à se servir de la peine capitale. En parcourant les statistiques on voit bien que les prisonniers en France trouvent la vie carcérale tellement insupportable qu'ils se suicident. Autrement dit, une peine capitale qui n'ose pas dire son nom. Il faut prendre en compte que l'administration française avoue que les chiffres en ce qui concerne les suicides en milieu carcéral sont sous-évalués.
