More French wet dreams. Al-Jazeera on the Seine continues to lick its chops as soon as there is the slightest news of difficulties, real or imaginary, for the US troops in Iraq. In the cartoon below, Le Monde rejoices following the terrorist attack in front of the Jordanian Embassy in Baghdad. Notice that for Le Monde and the other vultures of their ilk, it's still about the oil. Encore des rêves mouillés à la fwançaise. Al-Jazira sur Seine continue à se lecher les babines dès qu'il y a la moindre nouvelle des difficultés, réelles et imaginaires, rencontrées par les militaires américains en Irak. Dans le dessin ci-dessous, Le Monde se réjouit de l'attentat terroriste devant l'ambassade jordanienne à Bagdad. Notez bien que pour Le Monde et les autres charognards de leur espèce, il s'agit toujours et avant tout d'une histoire de pétrole.

Le Monde has become the French mouthpiece for support of international terrorism. DERNIERES INFOS: Al-Jazira sur Seine a du mal à ne pas trépigner de joie: 'La plus grave attaque contre le régime d'après-guerre', 'L'insécurité permanente témoigne d'un échec de la normalisation', 'La traque de Saddam Hussein exspère Tikrit'. Le Monde est desormais le porte-parole en France de la cause terroriste mondiale.

The Lithuanian prosecution judges that there is no 'legal basis' for an extradition of Bertrand 'I beat my old lady' Cantat back to France (he, of course, absolutely wants to appear before the French injustice system that just freed José Bové©®™ so Bové could work in a non-existant job). Lithuania responds that France should have acted quicker (but it's so hot here and the French are a bit sluggish). It also appears that France has not ratified a European Convention dealing with the extradition of criminals, and is therefore in the position of snubbing standard international multilateral procedures. Perhaps Chiraq's lesson giving to the 'smaller European countries' following the declaration of the 'Vilnius Group' still has not been digested fully. Since France is incapable of judging its own thugs, Lithuania will take on the task. It's refreshing to see a 'small country' that knows the real sense of the words 'freedom' and 'justice' give this lesson to the French. Le parquet lituanien estime qu'il n'y a pas de 'base légale' à une éventuelle extradition vers la France de Bertrand 'Je tape sur bobonne' Cantat (qui lui, tient absolumment à se faire juger par l'injustice française qui vient de libérer José Bové©®™ pour que Bové 'occupe' un emploi fictif). La Lithanie répond que la France aurait dû agir plus vite (mais il fait tellement chaud ici et les fwançais sont tous un peu flagada). En plus, il semblerait que la France, n'ayant pas signé la convention européenne relative à l'extradition des criminels de droit commun, se trouve dans une position de bafouer les procédures multilatérales internationales. Peut-être la leçon de morale donnée par Chirak aux 'petits pays européens' suite à la déclaration du 'groupe de Vilnius' est toujours restée à travers. Comme la France est incapable de juger sa propre caillera, la Lithuanie s'en chargera. Il est rafraichissant de voir un 'petit pays' connaissant le vrai sens des mots 'liberté' et 'justice' faire cette leçon à la France.

When the looting is imaginary, but more importantly supposedly permitted by Americans troops, Chiraq cries out about 'Crimes against humanity'. When a French architect is caught red handed with over 50 Egyptian antiques, what will he call it then? Interior decorating? Quand les pillages sont imaginaires, et surtout prétendumment permis par les militaires américains, Chirak crie aux 'crimes contre l'humanité'. Quand un architect français est pris les mains dans le sac avec plus de 50 antiquités égyptiennes ça s'appelle comment? La décoration d'intérieur?

Just in case you have any doubts about Beigbeder's place in French cultural circles here is a glowing assessment of him from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Villepin™ approves.
