Fighting to get out of France (literally) Se battre pour quitter la France (littéralement)
37,000 troops out of the 300,000 US troops fighting in Iraq are not American citizens. They have signed up with the US military in a deal to obtain American citizenship. According to TF1, there are quite a few French among them. No wonder Chiraq thinks that war is always the worst solution.
Correction: that should read 37,000 out of all US forces and not only those fighting in Iraq. 		Sur les 300.000 soldats américains actuellement en Irak, 37.000 n'ont pas la nationalité américaine. Ils se sont portés volontaires auprès des forces militaires américaines en vue d'obtenir la citoyenneté américaine. Selon TF1, il y a un certain nombre de français parmi eux. Il n'est donc pas étonnant que Chirak pense que la guerre est toujours la pire solution.
Rectificatif: il s'agit de 37.000 sur tous les services militaires et non seulement ceux qui sont en Irak.
