Yesterday morning, my cab driver, upon hearing on the radio that people were celebrating in the streets of Baghdad, started choking on something. I asked him if he wanted some water with his pretzel. He didn't get the joke. Dumbass. As with all people who never attempt anything in their miserable lives the French are trying hard to point out the imaginary downside to current events: no Palestinian 'solution' (God helps them who help themselves, and as the Palestinians are not the most constructive bunch, they can wait some more), looting in Baghdad (just call it rapid income redistribution. The French know all about | Hier matin, mon chaffeur de taxi a commencé à s'étouffer quand il a entendu à la radio qu'il y avait des foules en liesse dans les rues de Bagdad. Je lui ai demandé s'il voulait de l'eau pour mieux faire passer son bretzel. Il n'a pas saisi la blague. Abruti. Comme tous les gens qui ne tentent jamais rien pendant leurs misérables existences les français passent leur temps à énumérer les catastrophes imaginaires en ce qui concerne l'actualité: aucune 'solution' palestinenne (Aide-toi, le ciel t'aidera. Comme les palestiniens ne sont pas très entreprenants, ils peuvent attendre encore un peu), pillages à Bagdad (il faut juste se dire que c'est une redistribution des richesses accélérée.
