More proof that the French are not only profoundly anti-American, but extremely sick as well. In a country where Thierry Meyssan sold 200,000 copies of '911 The Big Lie', the new bestseller at the FNAC (French books & CD chain) is 'L'Empreinte du Diable' ('The Mark of the Devil') by Ben Peri. The book makes the now standard Euro-parano claims about CIA and Mossad plots in 9-11. The author goes so far as to claim that 'only 61 victims of the attacks were Jewish'. This revisionist anti-semitic 'literature' is being showcased in Paris bookshops. Oh, and get this, the French publisher that has managed to produce this best seller is called 'Truth Publishers'. This is strictly a word-of-mouth success story because the book has had no major media promotion. The French population is so hateful that it is clamoring for this shit.
UPDATE: According to the Moroccan portal Atlasvista, the Ben Peri's book has sold over 1000 copies in Morocco in just 24 hours.

DERNIERES INFOS: Selon le portail marocain Atlasvista, en 24 heures seulement, le livre de Ben Peri s'est vendu plus de 1000 exemplaires au Maroc.

| Just as the word spreads that the counterculture in France is pro-market and pro-American (article about Sabine Herold), Revue-politique.com has forwarded me the following statement about the 'Operation GMO' demonstration announced for 2 November (very quick English translation by 'Merde in France'):
The increasingly likely presence of American media groups, including one major TV network, as well as support for this demonstration from several French politicians that spoke out in favor of America's operations in Iraq, are making for a nice autumn season for France's libertarians and republicans. For some political figures, the coming together of the libertarian and republican camps is giving rise to an authentic hope that a large French libertarian-republican political current could absorb the up and coming elements of the French right as Chirac's gaullists, the remnants of the old Gaullist right which tried to stop its decline by forming the UMP, loses its strength.
For some, this political current, which distinguishes itself by its uninhibited positions on secularity in reaction to Islam's spread in Europe, is openly pro-Atlantic, federalist European, and clearly favorable to Israel's policies, could represent a new generation especially because it is building on two huge victories - the succesful demonstration on June 15 initiated by Liberté Chérie, and the development of a news web site running counter to French media, Revue-politique, read everyday by approximately 15,000 readers.
The age of the movements' leaders is also of interest to the political personnalities that are observing its emergence: almost all are in their 30s with a few 40 year olds. Independant, free, the decision to carry out 'Operation GMO' is not without a precise objective, the target is well designated: José Bové and all he stands for, and beyond him a break with the Chiraco-Gaullism now on its last legs. The 'next generation', the new right, the label doesn't matter, Liberté Chérie and Revue-Politique are leading the charge.

L'âge des animateurs de ce courant naissant suscite aussi l'intérêt de ces personnalités qui se penche sur son berceau: ce sont tous des trentenaires et quelques quadras. Indépendants, libres, le choix d'une 'opération OGM' ne doit rien au hasard, leur cible est claire : José Bové et ce qu'il incarne, et à travers lui aussi une rupture avec le chiraquo-gaullisme finissant. la 'next generation', la nouvelle droite, peu importe, Liberté Chérie et Revue-politique en sont bien le fer de lance.

As if the violence that appears during their public demonstrations and the racist slogans on their flyers, posters, and banners were not enough. Tariq Ramadan, Muslim 'intellectual', just published an article on Oumma.com (the article was also published on a web site operated by 'Forum social européen') that goes so far as to raise the spector of a Jewish plot lead by Paul Wolfowitz. Tariq, of course, is risking nothing. Hate speech directed at Jews and Americans is free for everyone over here as the online forums on Oumma.com will attest. Libération and Le Monde provide commentary on this.

And there you have it. The key word pronounced there is 'humiliating' which leads us to understand that we now have the imminent threat of some serious lost tempers hanging over us. 'Humiliation' is currently used to explain away street muggings, demolition of buildings, and the use of bomb belts. Just make sure that you are extra polite to certain people out of fear that they might otherwise 'lose it'.

'L'humiliation' servant de nos jours à justifer les agressions dans la rue, la démolition d'immeubles, et l'utilisation des ceintures explosives. Prenez garde d'être très poli à certaines personnes de peur qu'elles ne disjonctent.
